Usually yes, but let us know beforehand. We'll review your skin concerns and determine the best approach.
Will a spray tan cover stretch marks or scars?
A spray tan won't remove them, but it can soften their appearance by reducing contrast with the surrounding skin.
Results
My tan looks streaky right after my appointment. Is that normal?
Yes. The cosmetic bronzer can sometimes appear uneven while developing. Most minor streaks disappear after your first rinse.
What if it rains after my appointment?
As long as your developing tan doesn't get wet before your scheduled rinse time, rain isn't a problem. Simply wear loose clothing, I keep a large umbrella on hand for those heavy downpours to help you to your car. Bringing one for yourself after you arrive to your destination is a good idea as well. Once you've completed your first rinse, you can go about your day as usual.
Can I work out after my spray tan?
Wait until after your first rinse. Sweating or any liquid on the skin before before then can interfere with development of your tan.
Can I swim?
Yes, but not until your tan is fully developed. Chlorine and salt water can shorten the life of your tan.
Does spray tanning protect me from the sun?
No. A spray tan provides no UV protection. Always wear sunscreen when outdoors. Do not use aerosol sunscreens. They can shorten the life of your tan.

What is a spray tan?

Will I look orange?

How long will my spray tan last?
Most spray tans last 7–10 days with proper preparation and aftercare.

How should I prepare for my appointment?

What should I wear to my appointment?

Loose, dark clothing and flip-flops or sandals are best. Long sleeve t-shirts and sweat pants are good for protecting your tan and keeping bronzer from transferring to your car or furniture.

Removing jewelry helps prevent tan lines and keeps the solution from collecting underneath.

How long does the appointment take?
Most appointments take about 30-45 minutes from start to finish.
What should I wear during the spray tan?
Undress to your comfort level. Many clients wear disposable undergarments which are complimentary during your appointment, a swimsuit, or choose to tan nude. Your comfort and privacy are always the priority.
Will I be sticky afterward?
You may feel slightly tacky until your first rinse, but professional drying techniques help minimize this.
Will the spray tan stain my clothes?
The cosmetic bronzer may transfer slightly to light-colored clothing before your first rinse, which is why dark, loose-fitting clothing is recommended. It typically washes out.
After Your Appointment
When do I rinse?
Your rinse time depends on the solution selected. We'll tell you exactly when to rinse before you leave. We select a solution that best fits your skin type and schedule.
Can I use soap during my first rinse?
No. Your first rinse should be with lukewarm water only. No soap, shampoo, or body wash. Once the water runs clear, gently rub any remaining bronzer with your hands.
Why is so much color washing off in my first rinse?
That's completely normal. The brown color you see is the cosmetic bronzer. Your actual tan continues developing over the next 24 hours.
When can I shower normally?
The following day, after your tan has fully developed.
How do I make my tan last longer?

Mobile Appointments
Do you travel?
Yes! SolFlower offers luxury mobile spray tanning throughout the Cincinnati Tristate area as well as appointments in our private home studio located in Harrison, OH.
What do you need when you arrive to my home for a mobile tan?
Just a space about the size of a small bedroom and access to a standard electrical outlet. The tanning tent is 4ft x 4ft. We bring everything else.
Is mobile spray tanning messy?
Not at all. A professional spray tent keeps overspray contained.
Booking & Policies
Is a deposit required?
Yes. A 50% deposit is required to reserve your appointment. The deposit is applied toward your service total.
What is your cancellation policy?
Deposits are non-refundable for appointments canceled or rescheduled with less than 24 hours' notice.
If you need to cancel within 24 hours of your appointment, your deposit can still be applied to a future appointment if you reschedule at the time of cancellation and your new appointment is scheduled within 30 days of your original appointment.
Clients who do not show up for their scheduled appointment without prior notice will forfeit their deposit.
What payment methods do you accept?
Major credit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Cash App, Paypal/Venmo, and cash for the remaining balance.

Yes! While the majority of my clients are women, I welcome male clients as well. Professionalism, privacy, and your comfort are always a priority.
Can I bring a friend or children to my appointment?
Absolutely! You're welcome to bring a friend if it helps you feel more comfortable. If your friend would also like a spray tan, please have them book their own appointment so I can allow enough time to give each of you the full SolFlower experience.
Because my studio is located inside my home, I kindly ask that young children who require supervision stay home whenever possible. My home isn't childproof, and I want your appointment to be a relaxing, uninterrupted experience where my focus is entirely on you.
If finding childcare isn't possible, no worries! Simply book a luxury mobile appointment, and I'll bring the SolFlower experience right to your home.
Do you spray clients under the age of 18?
Yes! Clients under the age of 18 are welcome at SolFlower; however, a parent or legal guardian must provide written consent before the appointment, and a parent or legal guardian must be present for the entire spray tan service. This policy is in place to ensure the comfort, safety, and peace of mind of everyone involved.

When should I schedule my wedding spray tan?
Most brides schedule a trial 4–8 weeks before the wedding and their final spray tan 2–3 days before the big day.
Can you spray my bridal party?
Absolutely! Ask about our Glow Gathering mobile spray tanning experience.
